Referring a child for a wish is one of the most important parts of helping us fulfill our mission. A joyful wish experience begins when a thoughtful person refers a child to the Foundation.
Who is eligible?
We grant the wishes of medically eligible children who have reached the age of 3 and are under the age of 18 at the time of referral, is potentially eligible for a wish. In addition, a child cannot have received a wish from another wish-granting organization.
Who can refer a child?
Out of respect for the privacy of the children and families we serve, children who may be eligible to receive a wish can be referred by:
– Medical professionals treating the child – such as doctors, nurses, social workers or child-life specialists
– A parent or legal guardian of the potential wish child
– The Potential Wish Child

All medical information is considered confidential and is not discussed with outside parties unless it is required for the wish and the child’s parent(s) or guardian(s) have given consent.
